Mangiolo
Privacy Notice (closed beta)
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Mangiolo is a community app for curious food lovers. During the closed beta, Mangiolo is run by Martin Hjulmand Kolding as a private individual in Denmark. He is responsible for your personal data (the "data controller"). Contact: support@mangiolo.com.
What we collect
- Account: email address, username, display name, password (stored encrypted by our database provider), profile photo, bio and favourite restaurant if you add them.
- What you share: recipes, meals, photos, comments, likes, saves, follows, and places you tag.
- Safety: reports you send, users you block, and the date you accepted our Terms.
- Usage statistics — only if you say yes: which features are used, linked to a random ID, plus your phone's language and region. No email, no IP address. You can change your choice in Settings.
- Crash reports: technical information when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs.
Why we use it
To run your account and show your posts to others (our agreement with you), to keep the community safe and handle reports (legitimate interest), to understand how the app is used (your consent), and to fix errors (legitimate interest). We never sell your data, and there are no ads during the beta.
Who helps us
- Supabase — database, login and photo storage (EU, Ireland)
- PostHog — usage statistics, only with consent (EU)
- Sentry — crash reports (EU, Germany)
- Resend — sending emails such as password resets (EU, Ireland)
- Anthropic — calculating macros (USA): only the ingredient list is sent, nothing that identifies you
- Apple — TestFlight distribution and beta feedback
Anthropic processes data in the USA. That transfer is covered by the EU's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. When you do, your account, profile and photos are deleted, and your posts are emptied of content. Reports are kept as long as needed to handle them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how we use it. You can delete your account in Settings at any time. Write to support@mangiolo.com. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk).
Changes
This is a beta notice. A full privacy policy will replace it before Mangiolo launches publicly. We'll tell you in the app if anything important changes.
